The Global Development Network (GDN) is teaming up with the French Development Agency, (AFD,) to hold an online film contest focused on significant development transitions occurring around the world.

The videos will recount the tale of these transformations from the perspective of young researchers/academics in the Global South, allowing global audiences to learn about their challenges and accomplishments. Through a variety of topics such as climate, energy, gender, governance, and more, the videos will connect deep local knowledge and perspectives to the public dialogue on global development.

How to Participate

To take part in the GDN Video Contest, You must create (and make available online, according to the specified instructions) an original video of 3-5 minutes that focuses on the development problem or transition you are presently working on. Note that they are not asking you to present your current research project or article, but rather to convey the knowledge arising from your study field in a video style, beginning with a well-identified development obstacle or transition.
