McDonald Fellowship Key details:
  • Host country: London
  • Open to: Low and Middle income countries
  • Target: Researchers
  • Deadline: 30th June, 2021

Applications are open for the 2021 McDonald fellowship. The McDonald fellowship which is the memory of late Professor Ian McDonald enables early career Multiple sclerosis (MS) researchers from low- and middle-income countries to work in a research institution outside of their own country.

MS is an inflammatory demyelinating condition of the central nervous system which has no cure yet. Research has shown that about 2,300.000 people around the world have MS

Following the award, we expect applicants will be able to use the newly developed expertise and networks, continuing to undertake MS research and/or patient care in low- and middle-income countries. The McDonald Fellowship is offered by the Multiple Sclerosis International Federation (MSIF).
