About the Access Bank Womenpreneur Pitch-A-Ton Africa
Access Bank Plc has launched the third edition of its Womenpreneur Pitcha-ton Africa program, which is part of the bank’s mission to equip female entrepreneurs with financial and entrepreneurial skills.
The Womenpreneur Pitch-a-ton Africa program aims to empower female-owned enterprises in Africa with access to capital, world-class business training, and mentoring opportunities. The goal of this program is to provide a supportive atmosphere for female entrepreneurs to expand their firms.
In its first year, the program awarded N9 million in financial incentives to the top five applicants, as well as a free mini MBA certification to 50 Nigerian women entrepreneurs. This was done with the help of the International Finance Corporation (IFC, a member of the World Bank Group).
This year, the Womenpreneur Pitch-a-ton Africa program will be expanded to nine additional African nations where Access Bank’s W project is active. Nigeria, Ghana, Rwanda, Zambia, Sierra Leone, Gambia, Kenya, Mozambique, South Africa, and Congo are the countries involved, hence the tagline Womenpreneur Pitch-A-Ton Africa.
