Schwarzman Scholars Program

The program is a one-year, fully-funded master’s program at Tsinghua University in Beijing, designed to create a global community of future leaders who will help China and the rest of the world understand each other better.

The Schwarzman Scholars Program is the first scholarship designed to address the 21st century’s geopolitical landscape. In any sector, the success of future leaders around the world depends upon an understanding of China’s role in global trends.

Every year, a new class of leaders is chosen to represent the world’s next generation of leaders — high-caliber individuals with open minds and limitless potential who will contribute to greater understanding between China and the rest of the world.

Schwarzman Scholars Program Eligibility Criteria

NOTE: This requirement is waived for applicants who studied at an undergraduate institution where the primary language of instruction was English for at least two years of the applicant’s academic program. The requirement will also be waived for applicants who have studied in English for two or more years at a Master’s degree level or higher.

Schwarzman Scholars Program Application Procedure

The online application must be filled out entirely in English. All requirements must be submitted electronically; materials sent via email will not be accepted. You are not required to complete your application in one sitting; you may access and continue working on it as often as necessary before submitting it.

NOTE:

Applicants holding a passport from any other country, can apply online from 14 April to 21 September 2021.

Applicants who hold passports from Mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macao can apply online from 1 January to 31 May 2021 through the China application portal.
