About the Farmz2u ‘Food For Thought’ Challenge
The Farmz2u ‘Food For Thought’ Challenge is focused on SDGs 2 – Zero Hunger and SDG 12 – Responsible Production and Consumption.
The challenge aims to raise awareness among young people about the various opportunities in agriculture that can be realized through technology, which Farmz2u believes are important drivers of food sustainability.
With Africa expected to house 25% of the world’s population by 2050, the continent’s agricultural production potential must be expanded to ensure global food security. The Sub-Saharan African region has the tools it needs to expand its agricultural operations, including fertile and underutilized land, an increasing youth population, and favorable government policies.

It is organized by Farmz2u; an agritech startup that helps farmer farm better through the use of technology and tailored agricultural expertise.

Eligibility Criteria
- Open to all undergraduates and recent graduates across Nigeria and Kenya;
- Applicant should have an interest in the Agricultural space.
- Essay must be on the topic above.
- Essay must not exceed 500 words or 2500 characters.
