For sure I know thousands of people out there who can read and write but they’ve never been to school.

People will tell you that going to school or acquiring a degree certificate in Nigeria is not important as far as one parents are not wealthy or if you are not connected to any high ranking politician.

I can agree to the ‘say’ that acquiring a degree certificate does not guarantee success in life.

You can accumulate riches and become famous in different spheres of life without going to school.

But I want to let you know that education is a monumental opportunity of getting to the top and become successful in life.

Being educated brings a lot of opportunities.

Take a look at the developments we had nowadays which came through new inventions.

Such inventions were birthed from the ideas of great people who are well educated.

The world is now global.

Things have been made easier.

However, in every society education has a role to play.

As Fatima Habib Damagum would say; “Education is the most powerful tool we can use to empower women, educating them is like giving them a voice.”

Nevertheless, the greatest freedom fighter Nelson Mandela said; “Education is the most powerful weapon which we can use to change the world.”

This is to show us that education can bring positive changes in the world.

Anthony J.D’angelo said; “Develop a passion for learning. If you do, you will never cease to grow.”

Education here does not mean only going to school or getting a degree certificate but   also, learning skills and knowledge that will impact our lives positively.

“Learning is the only thing the mind never exhausts, never fears, and never regrets.” -Leornardo da Vinci.

Learn to know your weaknesses and abilities.

Try to discover yourself and know who you are.

Be self educated and self reliant.
