Home Body

It was until I stopped searching

for a safe home to lie my ached head

That I realized my body’s the home

Where I’m safe and calm.

Home’s far from bricks and mortar

My home is my body rapped with

My tender skin.

This vault body has endorsed my pain,

penury, desolation, and trepidation,

In this world filled with mysteries and

Uncertainties,

I’ll take pleasure in my homebody

For, I know there is no home as secured

As a body built within my shattered soul.
