About the Lester B Pearson Scholarship
The Lester B Pearson scholarship is given out once a year and aims to recognize outstanding students from all across the world, including those from Canadian schools.

The scholarship is for first-year undergraduate programs at the University of Toronto, with a four-year study period.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants applying for the Lester B Pearson Scholarship at the University of Toronto must be:
- International students require a study permit.
- Be currently in the final year of secondary school or have graduated no earlier than June 2022.
- Beginning their studies at the University of Toronto in September 2023. Students who are already enrolled for post-secondary studies are not eligible as well as students beginning their studies in January 2023 at another post-secondary institution.
Benefit
- Lester B. Pearson Scholarships will cover four years of tuition, books, incidental fees, and complete living expenses.
- The grant is only available to first-year undergraduate students at the University of Toronto. Lester B. Pearson Scholars will be named every year to roughly 37 students.

Application Procedure
Applicants must be nominated by their secondary school and apply for an undergraduate program at the University of Toronto to be considered for a Pearson Scholarship. (High schools that have not been contacted or verified are asked to fill out an application to join in our program, which is now available.)
Apply to the University of Toronto to begin your studies in 2023, and make sure you submit your application by the deadlines. Please be aware that the Pearson Scholarship will be considered for your first choice of the program at U of T. You may apply to many programs and be accepted to all of them; but, if you are awarded the Pearson Scholarship, you will be limited to your first choice of study at U of T at the time our scholarship choices are announced.

Scholarship deadlines:
- School nomination deadline: November 30, 2022
- Student OUAC application deadline: December 14, 2022 (Please note this is the final date to submit an application to the OUAC; however, it is recommended you apply for admission through the OUAC before November 7, 2022, as spaces in programs fill up quickly and popular programs may close early.)
- Student scholarship application deadline: January 16, 2023
