NECO Announces Mr Ebikibina John Ogborodi As Acting Registrar

After Prof. Godswill Obioma, the late registrar, died on Monday, the National Examinations Council (NECO) Governing Board announced the appointment of Mr. Ebikibina John Ogborodi as acting Registrar/Chief Executive of the Council.

During an emergency meeting on Wednesday, the Board appointed Mr. Ebikibina John Ogborodi, who was Director, Special Duties.

Mr. Mustapha K. Abdul, Director of Human Resource Management, stated in a circular that Ogborodi was named as the Council’s most senior director.

Ogborodi is from Bayelsa State’s Sagbama Local Government Area.

He graduated from the University of Jos with a bachelor’s degree in 1986 and a master’s degree in learning disabilities in 1999.

He began his career at NECO in 1999 and has held positions such as Acting Director, Examination Development Department; Acting Director, Office of the Registrar; Director, General Services; and Director, Human Resource Management, among others.
