NITDA One Million Developers Training 2022

The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), is pleased to announce the commencement of its NITDA One Million Developers Training Program and is calling on interested Nigerians to apply for the software development training program.

The initiative will be led by the National Center for Artificial Intelligence and Robotics (NCAIR), a division of NITDA located in Wuye District, Abuja, in collaboration with other key ecosystem players, with the goal of making Nigeria the center for digital talent in Africa and the rest of the world.

The Director General of NITDA, Kashifu Inuwa, has authorized NCAIR to conduct the program on a 24-hour-a-day basis within the Centre, including an internship program that will provide intense training to Nigerian youths with the purpose of generating software engineers.

In a press statement issued on Sunday, Hadiza Umar (Mrs.), Head of Corporate Affairs and External Relationship, National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), stated that the NDG Training is separated into two batches (A&B).

“Batch A will run from Monday to Wednesday, Batch B from Thursday to Saturday, and Sunday will be an independent study day, with certificates awarded to students/trainees at the end of the program.”

“Classes will be offered six (6) days a week in three (3) clusters (24 students each), with 12-hour hours for independent study and working on exercises and projects between 8pm and 8am daily,” she stated.

  • Nigerian Youth residing or staying in the Federal Capital Territory of Abuja, including
  • NYSC Corps Members, Secondary School Students, and Undergraduates on leave.
  • Graduates and anyone else who wants to learn advanced digital skills.
  • Participants must be at least 15 years old to participate.
  • Please keep in mind that the training will take conducted in ABUJA.
Benefit

The NITDA One Million Developers Training will provide trainees with a series of coaching sessions and lectures to help them improve their Python programming abilities for Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Blockchain, Robotics, and Data Science.
