About the Nkrumah University of Science and Technology Master Card Foundation Scholars Programme

The Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) Master Card Foundation Scholars Programme provides academically talented yet economically disadvantaged young people in Ghana and Africa with access to quality and relevant university education.

It embodies an array of mentoring and cultural transition services to ensure student academic success, community engagement, and transition to employment opportunities which will further social and economic change in Africa.

The Nkrumah University of Science and Technology Master Card Foundation Scholars Programme’s goal is to raise the next generation of ethical and transformative leaders who would influence positive forward-looking changes in their respective home countries, specifically on the African continent.

Eligibility Criteria
  1. All Nkrumah University of Science and Technology Master Card Foundation Scholars Programme applicants must have a WASSCE, GBCE, ABCE, or GCE O’Level and A’Level or their equivalent results from an accredited/recognized institution, be certificate-ready, and meet KNUST’s admission requirements. NO AWAITING RESULTS candidate will be accepted. The applicant’s result must be at least a year old.
  2. The applicant must demonstrate that he/she has critical economic needs.
  3. The applicant must have proven records of leadership and community engagement(s).
  4. The applicant must be prepared to go back and give back to his or her community.
  5. The applicant must not be enrolled in any tertiary institution.
