The NNPC/NAOC/OANDO Joint venture as part of its commitment to corporate social responsibility is inviting applications from young Nigerians to apply for the 2022 NNPC/NAOC/OANDO JV Tertiary Scholarship.

Category of Awards

  • Host/Transit Communities Merit Award – For applicants strictly from NAOC Host/Transit Communities
  • National Merit Award – For applicants from Non-Host/Transit communities
NNPC/NAOC/OANDO JV Tertiary Scholarship Eligibility Requirement

Applicants must meet the following criteria in order to be considered:

  • Undergraduates enrolled full-time in Nigerian tertiary institutions
  • (Only students admitted in the 2021/2022 academic year) Certified 100-level students at the time of application.

Students in the following groups should not apply:

  • Students in the 200 level and above
  • Current recipients of similar awards from other businesses and organizations
  • NAOC/NAE/AENR/NACPFA dependents

Only NAOC Host/Transit Communities Indigenes in the states of Rivers, Bayelsa, Delta, and Imo should apply for the Host Communities Merit Award.

The National Merit Award is open to students studying Engineering, Geology, Geosciences, and Agricultural Science.

The examination date will be communicated to shortlisted candidates only. NAOC reserves the right to select and shortlist candidates.

  • The NAOC Tertiary Scholarship application is completely free.
  • The official platform for the NAOC Tertiary Scholarship is SCHOLASTICA.
  • When applying for the NAOC Tertiary Scholarship online, be wary of bogus websites. During the application process, such websites may require you to pay a fee.
  • Applications submitted via e-mail will not be considered.
  • NAOC does not appoint representatives or agents to help candidates in the application process.
  • At any stage of the scholarship process, any candidate found to have presented false documents will be disqualified or withdrawn.
  • Only those who have been shortlisted will be invited to take the proctored computer-based test online or at one of the designated testing centers.

NOTE: The aptitude exam will be held either online (remotely) or at one of the specified centers that will be announced to those who have been shortlisted. Applicants must specify whether they want to take the test online at their leisure or at one of the specified test centers when submitting their application (cost of transportation to the centers to be borne by applicants).

  •  Passport photograph with white background not more than 3 months old (450px by 450px not more than 200kb)
  • School ID Card
  • O’level Certificate
  • Admission Letter
  • Birth Certificate
  • Proof of Local Government Area of Origin
  • Letter from Community Paramount Ruler (Only Applicants for Host Communities Merit Award)
  • Letter from CDC Chairman (Only Applicants for Host Communities Merit Award).
  • JAMB Result
  • Ensure that the papers are named according to what they represent to minimize document mixing during upload. Ensure that you attach the proper documents when prompted to upload. Ensure that you offer a legitimate email and phone number for effective contact.

Application Procedure

Applicants interested in the NNPC/NAOC/OANDO JV Tertiary Scholarship can click the button below to apply

  • Go to the “Apply Now” tab.
  • To establish an account, click “Register Now.”
  • To activate your account, go to your email box.
  • Click on https://candidate.scholastica.ng/schemes/naocscholarship2022 to return to the Scholarship site 
  • To submit your information, enter your registered email address and password.
  • Fill in your personal information, National Identification Number (if applicable), educational information, and other details, as well as any scanned documents that are required.
  • Ascertain that the name used in the program corresponds to the names on the documents in the same order. If necessary, include a sworn affidavit or certificate.
  • To avoid uploading issues, make sure you view all documents once they’ve been uploaded.
  • When requested to upload a photo, choose a passport photo with a white background.
  • To avoid mistakes, double-check the application’s details.
  • To submit information, click “Apply Now.”
  • You will receive an email and a text message confirming the success of your application.
  • Return to www.scholastica.ng, enter your email address and password to download your profile, and have your department head sign the document.
  • Upload a scanned copy of the signed profile for verification purposes.
  • If you didn’t get your National Identification Number (NIN) in step 6, you’ll need to go back to step 6 to get it
    • Fill in the relevant fields and click “Create Account.”
    • To complete the form, enter your email address and password.
    • Schedule a time for the photo and fingerprint capture when you’ve finished.
    • You can also complete your entire registration at the NIMC.

NOTE: The Scholarship Board will disqualify you if you submit multiple applications. It is not necessary to obtain a NIN in order to complete your application.
