United Nations Internship Program for Africans 2022

Applications for the 2022 United Nations Internship Program are now ongoing. The UNECA internship is for three (3) months, with the option of being extended dependent on the Director’s needs. The internship is unpaid and full-time. Interns will work five days a week under the Director’s supervision.

Eligibility Criteria| United Nations Internship
  • Applications must meet one of the educational qualifications : (a) be enrolled in a graduate school program (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); (b) be enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree program (minimum Bachelor’s level or equivalent); or (c) have graduated with a university degree (as defined above) and, if chosen, must begin the internship within one year of graduation.
  • Be computer literate in standard software applications;
  • Have a proven and keen interest in the work of the United Nations and a personal commitment to the Charter’s ideals; and
  • Have a demonstrated ability to successfully interact with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds and beliefs, including a willingness to understand and tolerate differing opinions and views.
