The program provides selected fellows a six-month placement at the Washington, D.C., or country offices of the World Bank Group (WBG) to get practical experience with the organization’s operations. This entails creating and disseminating knowledge, creating national and international policies, and creating institutions to promote inclusive growth in underdeveloped nations.

Fellows will focus on research, economic policy, technical assistance, and loan operations that support the World Bank’s mission of eradicating poverty and promoting shared prosperity while also gaining from research and innovation in a variety of industries.

Through the fellowship, WBG hopes to strengthen the skills of the upcoming generation of African change agents in development and policymaking, as well as to advance the objectives of the region’s poverty reduction.
