The 2022 World Bank Group Analyst Program is currently seeking applications from young Nigerians who are Investment Analysts to assist investment teams in the development of new business, the execution of deals, and the active management of portfolio projects.

For its Africa Infrastructure branch, the IFC is recruiting an Investment Analyst. In North Africa, Nigeria, Cape Verde, Guinea Bissau, Equatorial Guinea, Sao Tome e Principe, and Horn of Africa regions (collectively “the Region”), the hiring group is responsible for sourcing and executing investment transactions in the power, utilities, logistics, technology, municipal finance, and transportation sectors.
Investment Analysts collaborate closely with IFC Investment Officers, who are in charge of designing, negotiating, structuring, and overseeing IFC investment programs. This role will be headquartered in Lagos, Nigeria, and will be responsible for all aspects of the company.
Eligibility Criteria| World Bank Group Analyst Program
To be eligible for the World Bank Group Analyst Program the following criteria must be met:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, with a financial emphasis desirable.
- Experience at a top-tier financial institution with a demonstrated track record (minimum 2+ years), including experience developing financial models.
- To identify difficulties and provide creative and realistic solutions, you’ll need strong analytical and problem-solving abilities as well as excellent commercial judgment.
- Ability to operate well in multinational teams and across cultural divides.
- Ability to work in a team.
- Strong customer service orientation along with a willingness to accept feedback and new ideas.
- Ability to coordinate and execute several projects at the same time while meeting tight deadlines.
- Working in emerging markets and being interested in development issues.
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and vocal. Portuguese language abilities are a plus.
