The African Writers Award is calling for submission from African Writers for its 2021 award.
About the African Writers Award
The annual African Writers Awards, hosted by Writers Space Africa in collaboration with the African Writers Development Trust, have been the highlight of the African Writers Conference since 2018.

This year the theme for the Award is “The Future of Africa”.
Submissions will be in the following categories;
- Poetry (Structured or unstructured)
- Creative Non-Fiction (1,500 words maximum)
- Drama (6 acts maximum)
African Writers Award Benefit
Winners will receive a total of $100 USD along with certificates.
African Writers Award Submission Guidelines
In order to submit your entry you must follow the guidelines stated below;
- You’re allowed to submit to only one category.
- All submissions must be in English.
- The author retains copyright.

To submit, please send an email with the following details:
- Full name
- Phone number
- Nationality
- Your entry as an attachment in either MS Word format or PDF (The filename should be the title of your entry)
