About the ALX/Udacity Tech scholarships for African
The ALX/Udacity tech scholarship is focused on changing the lives of 60,000 young Africans by providing them with in-demand tech skills development and allowing them to connect with a community of experienced networks to launch a global career in technology.
This program is for those who are interested in global digital disruptions and want to gain specialized skills that will help them break into a high-paying, globally relevant tech career.
ALX provides job-ready training in the tech fields that employers are most interested in. ALX, in collaboration with The ROOM, is brought to you by the organization that leads African Leadership Academy, African Leadership University, and Anzisha Prize Foundation. Udacity Inc. is an educational organization co-founded by Sebastian Thrun, David Stevens, and Mike Sokolsky.
According to Thrun, the name Udacity was chosen because the company wanted to be “audacious for you, the student.”
Eligibility Criteria
The ALX/Udacity tech scholarship is open to applicants who meet the requirements below:
- Be between 18 and 35 years
- Be from an African Country
- Be either a fresh graduate, career switcher, freelancer, professional, or entrepreneur.
