As a Fellow, you’ll set goals and work toward them to help your students take a different path in life. The Teach for Nigeria Fellowship experience will not only help you develop your leadership skills, but it will also give you firsthand knowledge of our country’s educational crisis. It will assist you in becoming more aware of the larger issues surrounding educational inequity – and deepen your understanding of their potential solutions.

The COVID-19 pandemic has unfortunately caused widespread disruption and uncertainty not only in Nigeria but around the world. The safety of our community remains our highest priority and as such, we are prioritizing the following:
1. Protecting students and ensuring their continuity of learning
2. Safety of fellows, staff, and applicants

We are more concerned than ever before about the students who attend our public schools. Their communities are facing new and growing obstacles that will prevent them from receiving a good education, widening the educational divide between children from the lowest and highest socioeconomic household.

This is why Teach For Nigeria is committed to continuing its work, and we continue to need not only the next generation of inspiring leaders, but also existing teachers with exemplary leadership qualities in their communities, to help us accelerate positive educational and stability impact for the communities and students we serve.
