About the French Institutes For Advanced Study Fellowship
The French Institutes for Advanced Study at Paris, Lyon, Marseille, Montpellier, and Nantes all offer 10-month scholarships. It invites proposals from top-tier worldwide academics and scientists, mainly in the social sciences and humanities (SSH).
The French Institutes for Advanced Study Fellowship is offering 17 fellowship places in Paris for the academic year 2022-2023. At the Paris IAS, fellows’ projects might be in any subject or theme in the social sciences and humanities (SSH). They must have a strong interdisciplinary component and strive to make a significant advancement in their topic or methodology.
The ability of proposed projects to make apparent their potential impact beyond their discipline/field, and possibly outside academia, is an important selection consideration. Projects that address societal concerns or provide novel insights into the functioning of persons and societies will be given priority.
Projects at the intersection of SSH and the cognitive and neuro-sciences are also welcome at the Paris IAS. The program on “Brain, Culture, and Society” would want to focus on the following three subjects in particular:

The fellows will have complete autonomy over how they arrange their work and conduct research.
