The George Brown College Scholarship for International students is calling for application from graduates and undergraduates from all nationalities for it’s 2021 scholarship award session. Applicants who are interested in applying for the scholarship must make sure they apply by selecting International Center Scholarships through STU-VIEW and be enrolled full-time in program as an International Student.

List of George Brown College Scholarship For International Students

Assist on Scholarship for International Students in Two-year Programs: Assist on Global Service in Canada Ltd. (Kimokran 16 Toronto Inc.) has donated funds for the establishment of the Assist on Scholarship for International Students in Two-year Programs. This award is available to all registered international students at George Brown College in any year of study for all programs in this category. In order for an application to be successful candidates must ensure the following:

  • The student must maintain a 3.0 Min GPA or higher
  • The student must be actively involved in the community (college and/or external)

International Centre Student Bursary: This award is available to all registered international students at George Brown College in any year of study for all programs. The following criteria must be met:

  • The student must display financial need
  • The student must be actively involved in the community (college and/or external)

International Student Leadership Award: The award is available to any international student graduating from their program. In order to be eligible the following criteria must be met:

  • Student must be an international student
  • Minimum GPA of 3.5
  • The student must be actively involved in the Community (college and/or external)

International Student ESL Scholarship: International Student ESL Scholarship is awarded to a student in the ESL Program is awarded to candidate who meets up with the eligibility criteria below:

  • Student must be an international student
  • Student must be enrolled in the 3rd module.
  • The student must be actively involved in the Community (college and/or external)

International Student Scholarship: International Centre Student Scholarship is available to full time international student in any program who meets the requirements below:

  • Student must be an international student
  • Student must display financial need
  • Minimum GPA of 2.5
  • Student must overcome obstacles

Kimokran (Toronto) Scholarship for International Students: Kimokran 16 Toronto Inc. has donated funds for the establishment of the Kimokran (Toronto) Scholarship for International Students. This award is available to all registered international students at George Brown College who are in their 2nd Year or higher for all programs in this category. The following criteria must be met by the applicant:

  • The student must maintain a 3.0 Min GPA or higher
  • The student must be a registered domestic student
  • The student must be actively involved in the community (college and/or external)

Post-Secondary Scholarship for International Students – Certificate: The award is available to students in the Certificate, Post-grad program in any year of study but the criteria must be met by the applicant:

  • Student must be an international student
  • Minimum GPA of 3.5
  • The student must be actively involved in the Community (college and/or external)

Post-Secondary Scholarship for International Students – Diploma/Degree: Academic Area has donated funds for the establishment of the Post-Secondary Scholarship for International Students. The award is available to students in the Diploma or Degree program in their Second, Third, or Fourth year of study, in an approved international work/study experience but the following criteria must be met by the applicant:

  • Student must be an international student
  • Minimum GPA of 3.5
  • The student must be actively involved in the Community (college and/or external) 

Scotiabank International Partner Entrance Scholarships:

The Scotiabank International Partner Entrance Scholarship is available to newly admitted students in their first year of study in any post-secondary (diploma, degree, or post-graduate certificate) George Brown College (GBC) program. Students from GBC’s academic partner institutions in the Caribbean, China, Central/South America and India are encouraged to apply.

Two scholarships of $5,000 will be awarded each academic year.

Qualifications

  • be an international student (required to have a valid Canadian Study Permit) 
  • be studying in the first year of a full-time post-secondary program 
  • possess an excellent academic record (3.0 cumulative GPA) 
  • have demonstrated leadership in activities that have made contributions to the learning environment and participated in academic activities related to the area of study or student activities (e.g. clubs, Student Association, volunteer activities)

Woori Education Scholarship:

Awarded to an international student based on academic performance and community involvement. To qualify an applicant must:

  • be an international student, with a valid Study Permit
  • be registered in a full-time diploma or degree program
  • have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.3 in at least two full semesters of consecutive study
  • have participated in activities that have made a contribution to other students, their Department/School and/or the College community
