About the Google Africa Developer Scholarship
For the third year in a row, Grow with Google and Pluralsight have teamed up to offer a program to help software developers in Africa in three different roles: Associate Android Developer, Associate Cloud Engineer, and Mobile Web Specialist.
The Google Africa Developer Scholarship (GADS) aims to engage with current and aspiring developers in order to help them develop the skills they’ll need to find work in the tech industry after the program ends. Participants of the program will receive free access to a variety of courses, projects, embedded labs (powered by Qwiklabs), and skill assessments, as well as support from the Google Developer community.

The resources in this program will assist developers in gaining the skills they need to earn their Google certification. Previous participants have gone on to create meaningful projects for their communities, make significant career advancements, and even become Google-certified developers and engineers.
Google Africa Developer Scholarship Eligibility Criteria
- You must be at least 18 years of age and be a resident of a country in Africa.
- You may only register for one learning track/role.

- Master in-demand Google developer skills with expert-authored Pluralsight content.
- Develop your skills and be prepared to take the Associate Android Developer Certification exam.
- Receive mentorship support from the GADS program and the Google Developer community.
- Google Cloud
- Master in-demand Google Cloud skills with expert-authored Pluralsight content.
- Prepare to take the Associate Cloud Engineer Certification exam (According to the 2020 Google Cloud certification impact report, 70% of job applicants with a Google Cloud certification received at least one job offer)
- Build the expert Cloud skills needed to elevate your IT career.
- Gain the confidence to apply for a new Cloud role.
- Receive mentorship support from the GADS program and the Google Developer community.
- Mobile Web
- Master in-demand Google developer skills with expert-authored Pluralsight content.
- Receive mentorship support from the GADS program and the Google Developer community.

Google Africa Developer Scholarship Application Procedure
Complete your Google Africa Developer Scholarship Application by:
- Complete onboarding survey
- Fill out registration form (available after submitting the onboarding survey)
- Watch any of your available Pluralsight Skills content OR complete your “Associate Android Developer” Skill IQ
NOTE: Your registration for the program is not complete until you have finished this survey and registered for Pluralsight.
