Ibhawoh Foundation Essay Competition

The Francis Ibhawoh Foundation are currently inviting entries from undergraduate students of all accredited universities in Nigeria. The Foundation is interested in hearing the experiences of young Nigerians and to also their thoughts on how they believe proper police reform can be sustained in Nigeria.

The essay contest is open to undergraduates from various accredited universities in the county, candidates are to write an essay of at least 2500 – 3000 words on their personal reflection and experience. Winning essay will be awarded with the sum of N50,000 and will also be published on the foundations website.

Eligibility

  • open to all undergraduate students registered in accredited Nigerian Universities
  • Essays must be the original work of the student (between 2,500-3,000 words).

Note: applicant may be subjected to a short oral interview by a member of the Governing Board.

Prize

Two (2) essays will be selected for publication and authors of winning essays will be awarded N50,000.00 (fifty thousand naira) each.

Deadline for submission: Wednesday, December 30, 2020.

Winners will be announced in January 2021.
