About the USAID Digital Development Awards
USAID is working toward a future in which digital technology enables inclusive growth, resilient and democratic societies, and empowers everyone, especially the most vulnerable and excluded.
USAID Digital Development Awards effort is to honor USAID Missions, Bureaus, and implementing partners who are assisting countries and communities in achieving sustainable growth and resilience (the Digis).

Eligibility Criteria
- The Digis will be given to USAID-funded projects and initiatives that have either (1) directly deployed a digital technology or suite of technologies or (2) provided support to digital ecosystem players to increase digital technology access and/or adoption. Technology providers, financial service providers, government agencies, civil society organizations, and other entities that are either deploying digital technology solutions or adopting policies/regulations that facilitate expanded access and uptake are considered digital ecosystem actors.
- All USAID staff and implementing partners working on a USAID-funded project are encouraged to apply, regardless of the activity’s size, region, or portfolio. Implementing partners should consult with the appropriate USAID point of contact before submitting an application
- Private sector partners who USAID sponsors, as well as those who are designated “new partners,” “non-traditional partners,” or “local partners” (see the official site for definitions), are strongly encouraged to apply.
